This web site looks simple because it’s supposed to be.
If you are looking to urbanize our towns, please move on now!
Our goal here is to return our towns to the charm
and simplicity of yesteryear...be part of the dream.

BENKELMAN, HAIGLER, MAX, PARKS & STRATTON
[Southwest Nebraska]

About us:  Our towns are simple with the core values of family and friends. We support our local schools and community organizations. Just like every other small community in America, Wal-Mart has killed our downtowns. To drive down main street you would think the last nail was in the coffin.  We are here to tell you it is not!

This site is not a pity party or a poor cry for help. We are a proud group that's not going to disappear without a fight.  We have proof that our niche businesses are still surviving Wal-Mart.  We know that we (as a community) have to continue to carve out our niche to survive. We have decided to do a make-over going back to the simplicity and charm of 50’s.

NO POODLE SKIRTS OR BOBBY SOCKS: This make-over will embody the spirit of the 50's, the bond of community and a sense of pride in service and product, we are after all, modern communities. We do have access to the world (high-speed internet) AND running water (no outhouses here).

We are recruiting 20-30 people with like values, creativity, know-how, and the desire to make the change. We need individuals ready to invest in rural communities who will mentor our younger generation.

We'll start with WHAT WE HAVE and move on to WHAT WE NEED… some look like BIG projects, we didn’t say this was going to be easy. There is a great deal of POTENTIAL IN OUR COMMUNITIES...you just need the vision to see what we can become.

This is what we have now. | Here is what we need. | We have potential...see for yourself!
